If you purchased your Samsung Galaxy phone from another mobile provider in NZ, it will need a software upgrade. If you bought your phone from a parallel importer or from overseas, then it is not compatible and cannot be upgraded. If you are roaming overseas, then calls will be charged as if you make that call from NZ. If you want to be sure that you are only using WiFi Calling when you are overseas and not using local mobile networks at all you can put your phone into flight mode, then activate WiFi and WiFi Calling only.
This should ensure you don't incur any roaming charges. When overseas you will need to dial all international calls including in the same country, in International format e. Any overseas shortcodes, freephone or premium numbers will not work.

If you are using one of our Roaming Packs for calls and texts, then WiFi Calling will be charged in that Pack the same as if you were using mobile coverage.
