The fingerprint scanner on the Moto G6 sits on the front of the device at the bottom of the screen. While you can use it for security, you can also use it to navigate your device. To go home, tap the sensor quickly, to go back simply swipe from right to left on the sensor, to open recent apps swipe from left to right, and to lock the screen you have to touch and hold the sensor until you feel a short buzz. You can also launch assistant by touching and holding the sensor until you hear a long buzz. To access this feature, go to the Moto app, tap on Moto Actions and toggle on One button nav.
With the Moto G6 series, you can use Face Unlock to unlock your phone by looking at it. You have to make sure your screen lock setting is set up first which you can do by tapping on the Screen lock section. After that is complete, tap on Face Unlock to begin the process — simply align your face using the front-facing camera and wait for it to capture your facial features.

You have to set up your fingerprint first but afterward, you will be brought to a window that asks you to sign in to your Lenovo account as an extra form of security. You will then be able to choose from a variety of apps to assign your fingerprint to such as Facebook, Twitter, and more.
For one-handed use which might be useful on the Moto G6 Plus given its size , you can shrink the screen. After you toggle the feature on, simply swiping down to the left or right will shrink the screen to its respective corner allowing you to easily access different apps.
Moto Actions also provides you with a variety of different features to make using your phone easier all with simple gestures. There is Quick Screenshot — allowing you to touch and hold on the screen with three of your fingertips to capture it, along with Pick up to stop ringing which turns incoming calls to vibrate when you lift your device, among others. There are a variety of different ways you can customize the display on your Moto G6. You can toggle on adaptive brightness to optimize the brightness level for available light , change the font and display size, and more.
Is this something fitbit is planning to address in the near future, given the popularity of the phone?

I do have an update. I have been able to make some adjustment to my settings which makes syncing with the g6 much better. It's still not on the list, but it works a lot better. I just bought the versa and I'm having trouble getting notifications. I agree with you. I should have compatibility with my phone. I just purchased the Fitbit versa. I'm having trouble with notifications.
I would love for the company to include the Motorola g6 play in compatible decides. Please make the Moto G6 compatible. I am considering switching to a different fitness tracker if this isn't resolved. It is - I shouldn't have to use a computer to sync. So disappointing!

I received the Versa as a mother's day gift and it's compatibility with my Moto G6 is wonky. It sometimes syncs and I can't update the firmware on the Moto. Come on fitbit! Your CS is out of this world. Please hire a couple of engineers and get the compatibility updated.
Thank you. I bought the Moto g6 for Christmas. My Alta syncs every couple months.
Otherwise: no notifications, no heart tracking, no sleep information, nothing. It's really frustrating and disappointing.

Why in the world shouldn't it work? The Moto g6 has been out for quite a while - why is it still not supported? It's so frustrating because my dad has a moto g6 and his Fitbit sync's fine and his app works fine too. I have a Versa and a Moto G6. I would love for the Versa to be compatible with the Moto G6.
The Versa will sync with the G6 most of the time It will occasionally get text and call notifications from the G6. Since it works occasionally I know that it can work. I would like to see if work consistently.

I am very familiar with the steps to get it to work I have done the troubleshooting steps many, many times since I have owned my Versa. I have owned the Versa for about a year now and I have struggled with this from the beginning. I hesitate to guess how many hours I have spent on this. I agree with previous commenters that Fitbit must urgently address the issue of Motorola g6 compatibility.
I haven't been able to sync my Charge 3 for over a month due to the compatibility issue. In essence it makes my device close to worthless, especially since I rely on phone and text notifications during the work day. If the issue isn't resolved soon I will need to switch to a different brand of tracker or smart watch. Please catch up with the times Fitbit. Please add more phones to the supported devices.
