I don't normally write reviews but I felt I should provide some feedback for people that are interested in purchasing this phone. Overall the hardware side of things is amazing, the feel of the phone is premium and very sturdy. The problems I am having are with the software. As of now, there are a few crippling bugs and at the time of writing this, there is no updates or any word from the developers about when this will be fixed.
Bug 1: Every reboot the phone "forgets" all default apps. I like to customize the appearance of my phone in lots of little ways so each upgrade it still feels the same. For this reason, I use Nova Launcher a On Android, you are able to set "default" apps that you want it to use instead of the apps provided.
This means when I press the home button I want it to go to go the Nova Launcher. When I click on a text box to type I want to open Swiftkey. This works normally Until you reboot.

Once you reboot all these settings are reset and I have to go and configure them again. Bug 2: The microphone is absolutely horrible on any 3rd party apps. I live very rurally so I make use of a VoIP phone which uses an app on my phone. But basically, any app that uses the microphone will have this problem. It's just too quiet! I have a small business I run and having clients unable to hear me is just unacceptable.
For now, I have gone back to my Meizu M3 note for phone calls. I want to make this absolutely clear, the default dialer app that uses your sim card for calls is absolutely fine. It's just any other app that uses it, is not. Those are the worst of the bugs. The others I can deal with.
I want to make this known, it's not PB Tech's fault, these are problems with the manufacturer's developers and both could probably easily be fixed with an update. I have already signed up for the beta OS which hopefully fixes these issues and when they are fixed and anyone is able to obtain the update I will come back and edit this review. As usual, excellent support and shipping from PB just a slightly sub-par software experience.
Im not sure why there are so many 5 star reviews Good bang for buck but the random reboots and that back button can be rather frustrating! Had phone for 3 weeks and so far need to recharge every days. Great pricing and does everything expected of it. Had no issues whatsoever.
Meizu M6T details
Firstly, it's good-looking and cheap. However, the "long battery life" seems to have skipped my phone. It recharges quickly, but this is a hour or less recharge phone. I keep a powerbank with me at ALL times as once that battery indicator starts moving down it does not stop. The Touchpal app that comes with the phone and cannot be removed is determined to do what it can to flood the phone with ads, even to the extent of replicating my screen and adding ads of its choosing to it.
However, just Google "remove Android ads" and you can download an app that deals with it quickly. Touchpal will return you cannot opt out of updates for this Touchpal will return you cannot opt out of updates for this sticky little number but blast it away again with your ad remover and you'll be fine. Camera is good, video is good.
Meizu M6T, 32GB, Black (MHB)
Screen is a handy size. Oh - keyboard. Download another. This is a particularly big pro for me - the phone is very willing to accept downloads of apps that will remove unwanted junk. Con - boring phone covers. The phone is black, the covers are black or transparent - ugh. Anyway, I have had the device for around six months or so and it is pretty good, bar the annoyingly low battery life and the tedious ads which can be removed.
Despite my listed objections, I would recommend. I upgraded from my previous Meizu phone mostly because the cameras on the M6 Note are much improved with more pixels than my last phone. I have only been using the phone for 3 weeks and so far I'm very happy with it, it's definitely better than my last Meizu and does everything I need. Happy with the price as well as it was on special over Easter!
MEIZU M6 Note Dual SIM Smartphone 3GB+32GB - Obsidian Black - 2 Year Warranty
Brought this for a friend apart from it freezing up once which stumped him after the reboot it worked fine. Specs are not bad especially for this price, 32internal memory is a huge advantage an camera is great. So it's great for a student as a cheap starter an with a 2 year warranty you can't go wrong.
Camera isn't as good as Samsung S5, was a downgrade there but everything else and long battery life are good. Have used Nova Launcher to get around the Flyme OS Camera isn't as good as Samsung S5, was a downgrade there but everything else and long battery life are good. Excellent quality for price. This cellphone is fast and sleek and very simple to use.
It has the best specs in comparison to other products at similar price points. Highly recommend. Very good phone, had no issues yet Very good phone, had no issues yet. Had for 3 weeks.
Meizu M6T, 32GB, Black
Seems to work well. Great storage capacity. Battery life seems ok Had for 3 weeks. Battery life seems ok. Excellent phone, and at the price it's hard to pass up. I've had it for about a month now. Battery life is excellent easily two days with moderate usage. Only nitpick is that the Flyme OS is a little overbearing, and adds a bunch of bloat apps that you can't remove. Some of those apps create annoying notifications. I'll eventually flash it to get back control. The M6 Note lasts more than a day on a single charge and if it does need a top-up charge it take less than 30 minutes.
I do use Nova Launcher and SwiftKey keyboard, as they both improve significantly on the stock equivalents but Touchpal is also ok for normal use I tried the first few weeks I had the phone. Flyme as a variant of Android works and works well, I don't notice a difference between it and previous Samsung phones.
